At Trusty Garage Doors, we take pride in delivering high-quality products, professional service, and dependable craftsmanship throughout Plano, McKinney, Allen, Dallas, Houston, and surrounding Texas areas.
Our written warranty provides clear information about what’s covered, how long coverage lasts, and what steps to take if you ever need service. This policy applies to all installations and repairs performed by Trusty Garage Doors and is designed to protect both you and our company through honest, transparent terms.
What’s Covered
New Installations – Labor & Manufacturer Protection
When we install a new garage door, you receive:
- Labor Warranty: 30 days standard, or 90 days if noted on your invoice.
- Panel Coverage: 5-year manufacturer warranty against material or workmanship defects.
- Part Coverage: Other components are protected under their manufacturer’s warranty. In some cases, we extend that coverage if stated on your invoice.
If a covered issue arises, we’ll fix it — and if the part is under warranty, we’ll replace it at no labor cost (and no part cost, if applicable).
Service charges may apply depending on the situation.
Repairs – Keeping You Running Smoothly
When we repair your garage door, both the parts we supply and our workmanship are covered for the period noted on your invoice — 30 days standard, 90 days if specified.
If a repair fails within the warranty term, we’ll either fix the issue or replace the part.
Manufacturer warranties still apply to the parts themselves.
What’s Not Covered
Our warranty is designed to be fair and focused on genuine product or workmanship issues. It does not apply to:
- Work or materials provided by anyone other than Trusty Garage Doors.
- Parts altered or repaired by third parties after our service.
- Cosmetic issues (scratches, dents, etc.) that do not affect performance.
- Cables that become displaced, misaligned, or disconnected after service.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, civil disturbance, or Acts of God (storms, floods, fire, etc.).
- Commercial doors, unless noted on your invoice.
- Consequential or incidental damages (property damage, injury, lost time).
Some states may not allow this exclusion, so it may not apply in all cases.
How Long Coverage Lasts
- Warranty coverage begins the day your job is completed.
- Warranty is non-transferable — if you sell your home, coverage ends.
- The exact warranty length is shown on your invoice.
- If no term is listed, the default coverage is 30 days labor (90 days if noted).
Your Role in Keeping Coverage Active
To maintain active coverage:
- Keep your invoice — it serves as proof of warranty.
- Contact us promptly if an issue arises.
- Perform regular maintenance as recommended by our technicians.
State Law & Your Rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
Some states do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions may not apply to you.
Policy Updates
We may update this warranty policy periodically.
Any changes apply to work performed after the effective date of the update.
